I3DC organised at the University of Antwerp for the first time

The first edition of the ‘International Intensive Infectious Diseases Course’ (I3DC) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Antwerp was a great success. From 27th November until 1st December 2017 and during almost 30 interactive and student-centered modules more than 25 medicine students were immersed in the field of infectious diseases. The classes were taught by a team of 14 experts from all European universities partners (Rome, Edinburgh, Paris, Antwerp) and from external partners such as the Antwerp University Hospital and the Institute of Tropical Medicine.

The highlights of this course were the cutting-edge modules on antibiotics, the opportunity to put theory into practice during clinical cases and quizes, the small group and interactive teaching methods, and the instructice mix of international students and teachers.
